205 Ocean Ave Studios is a Queer, BIPOC led space providing a safe and equitable work and community space for creatives from historically marginalized communities.
In an effort to reduce our footprint, we are a low/non toxic studio space.
Currently our private studios are full, but our indoor and outdoor community spaces are available to rent for small events, meetings and workshops. We also have a natural dye studio available for hourly rental.

Rosalba Breazeale
Studio #1
Rosalba Breazeale (they/them, b. 1989) is an artist, educator and studio director at 205 Ocean Ave studios based on the traditional lands of the Wabanaki Confederacy, so-called Portland, ME. They hold an MFA from the University of New Mexico and BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Their multidisciplinary art practice encompasses analog, digital and alternative process photography, soft fiber sculpture and installation with an emphasis on regenerative practice. Breazeale’s identity as a Queer, Jewish, transnational adoptee from Peru forms the foundation from which they create work addressing connection to land, diasporic experience, European colonization and related environmental issues.

Triflorum Designs/Julia Lipner

Triflorum Designs is a small, woman-owned artistic and ecological design company based in Portland, Maine. We specialize in contemporary and naturalistic container plantings, urban garden design, and wild-inspired seasonal florals. We use ecological and aesthetic design principles to highlight the beauty and rhythms of the natural world, focusing on pollinator-supporting and mostly native plants that will thrive where they’re placed, building gardens and installations that nurture both people and planet.

Carina Cilluffo

Carina Cilluffo (she/any) is a fiber artist who works primarily with natural fibers. Her work explores self-estrangement, and motherhood with neurodivergence and mental illness. She’s also an erstwhile criminal-defense attorney and passionate about prison abolition, special education, and J R R Tolkien. She lives and works in Portland with her partner and two sons.
